Lunch & Supplies

Scouts should come prepared with a pen/pencil, notebook/paper, bottle of water, a bagged lunch (if staying the entire day), and any prerequisities. Lunch will not be provided.

Permission & Electronic Blue Cards

Scouts should discuss the badge(s) they are registering for with their Scoutmaster prior to signing up.

All blue cards are required to be handled digitally. When you register your respective Scout(s) for their merit badge sessions, you are confirming their electronic blue card has been approved by their Scoutmaster, which will be made available to you within 5 business days of the conclusion of the camp. No physical blue cards will be signed.

If a Scout does not complete all of the requirements for a merit badge during the session, they will receive a “Partial Completion” and have their digital blue card returned indicating the requirements that were completed. Scouts can reach out to a local counselor to complete missing requirements. Your Scoutmaster can provide you a list of these counselors. Please note that registering for a merit badge class does not guarantee completion of that badge. Scouts must be active participants in the class, and complete all required prerequisities. It is the instructor's sole discretion as to whether or not a Scout fulfills the requirements of a badge. No requirements will be signed off upon the conclusion of the camp.

All Scouts should submit a copy of their blue card to their Scoutmaster, whether or not the Scout completes the badge. Your records on onteora.org do not automatically transfer to Scoutbook.
