Dear Scouts, Scouters, and Families,

Welcome Home to Onteora Scout Reservation!

Whether this is your first summer at Onteora or you’ve been making the drive up the mountain for years, we’re excited to welcome you back for another incredible season in the heart of the Catskills. There’s nothing quite like that moment you roll through the gates, hear the crunch of gravel under your tires, and are greeted with the two words that say it all — Welcome Home.

For Summer 2026, we’re raising the bar once again. Our staff has been working hard to create a program that blends the best of Onteora tradition with new adventures designed to inspire, challenge, and excite every Scout. From classic merit badge favorites to expanded non-merit badge programs that build leadership, teamwork, and real outdoor skills — there’s something here for everyone.

We’ve also added a few new experiences this year — surprises that will push your patrol to think creatively, work together, and see Scouting from a whole new perspective. And, of course, the campfires, evening ceremonies, and star-filled nights that make Onteora so special will still be waiting for you.

To our returning leaders — thank you for the time, dedication, and heart you bring to your Scouts each and every week. To our new families and units — welcome to the Onteora family. You’re in for an unforgettable week of growth, adventure, and connection in one of the most beautiful settings in New York State.
